The Airport Bus is a vehicle featured in Grand Theft Auto V and Grand Theft Auto Online.
Design[]
Grand Theft Auto V and Online[]
The Airport Bus is essentially a variant of the Bus designated for service within Los Santos International Airport, sharing the same body design and features, albeit with the destination board reading L.S.I.A. in place of DOWNTOWN from the regular Bus. Interestingly, the Airport Bus has marker lights on either side, just below the roof line (which the original Bus does not). In the enhanced version of the game, these lights are added to the original Bus.
In the enhanced versions of the game, the Airport Bus has additional horn variations of varying pitch. The horn choice is randomized when the vehicle is spawned.
The Airport Bus comes in two colour schemes: a green and yellow variant with JiffiRent logos, and a green and white variant with Olympian Rentals logos. In the files, the vehicle is set to spawn in white, which is only visible on the inner trimmings of the doors and the interior of the engine bay.
Influence[]
The Olympian Rentals buses may be based on buses used by the Enterprise Rent-A-Car company, judging by the color scheme.

Performance[]
Grand Theft Auto V and Online[]
The Airport Bus handles the same as the regular Bus, let down by a wide turning radius with poor acceleration, but benefited by a decent top speed. The poor acceleration makes it easy for the player to get busted if attempting to escape a one star wanted level. As the engine is located in the rear, the vehicle can take endless amounts of frontal impacts without damaging the engine, and the rigid chassis prevents the wheels from campering or being exposed to collision damage, making it useful for pushing other vehicles out of the way. The player can also stand on top of a moving Airport Bus without the risk of falling off.[1]
Like the regular Bus, the vehicle is powered by a twin-cam 4-cylinder engine with a modelled turbocharger, coupled to a 4-speed gearbox. The vehicle also retains the all-wheel-drive layout (unusual for a bus, which are normally rear wheel drive), but the low power and revs make the front wheels unable to pull the heavy weight of the vehicle on steep inclines. Instead, this characteristic is moreso intended to provide better throttle and steering responses, ideal traits to navigate through the roads leading to the airport terminal, as well as the designated roads of the airport area.

Locations[]
Grand Theft Auto V[]
- Commonly seen driving in and around the Los Santos International Airport.
Grand Theft Auto Online[]
- Although much rarer, it can sometimes be seen driving on the service road around the southern end of the two parallel runways of the airport.
Oversights[]
Grand Theft Auto V and Online[]
- Should the player hijack an occupied Airport Bus and exit it again, the bus will spawn a new driver when the player is not looking directly at it, even if they are nowhere near the original driver. This also applies to the regular Bus and the Dashound.
