The Western Powersurge is an electric motorcycle featured in Grand Theft Auto Online as part of the continuation of the Los Santos Drug Wars update, released on December 29th, 2022, during the Powersurge Week event.
Design[]
Grand Theft Auto Online[]
The Powersurge is heavily based on the 2019 Harley-Davidson LiveWire.
The bike features a black/plastic front mudguard mounted on the fork legs, housing rectangular turn signals on either side, while the upper area mounts a small fairing with a black/plastic panel above and a circular headlight. The upper plate mounts the handlebars with large mirrors on either side and a rectangular display on the center, using the "Race Generic" set.
The main body is mainly composed of a black/plastic frame with a sectioned fairing on the frontal and lower areas. The frontal fairing is split into an upper painted one with the manufacturer badge on both sides and a lower black/plastic one, while the lower fairing encloses the engine bay. The fuel tank sits at the top and bears a black/plastic strip and a silver square-shaped cap. Being and all-electric vehicle, no exhaust pipe is present.
The rear section consists of a small fairing with the main seat near the fuel tank and a single main light on the end, while the lower area mounts a cylindrical oil tank, black frames with the foot pegs for the rider and a shift lever on the right-hand side. The rear wheel is connected by a black triangular swing-arm that is supported by a single suspension shock/spring, fitted with a long protector on the upper side of the left chain drive. A black/plastic rear mudguard is also present, which bears a C-shaped frame with the single brake light on the center and the rectangular turn signals on either side, together with a plate holder on the rear end.
The primary color of the vehicle is applied on the bodywork and the frames connecting the final drive sprocket with the rear wheel, while the secondary color is applied on the seat. Although not accessible, a trim color is also available for the rear suspension spring, which is set to black on purchased examples. The rims are a paintable variation of the "Racer" rims available in Los Santos Customs and other mod shops, which can be painted by selecting a custom rear wheel, applying a color and change back to the stock wheel (as it won't reset to the default alloy color).

Performance[]
Grand Theft Auto Online[]
The Powersurge is an extremely competitive motorcycle, with a top speed of 127 mph without leaning or performing a wheelie, which makes it one of the fastest non-boost motorcycles in the enhanced versions of the game. The bike also features a hard suspension system, which gives it unparalleled steering response. However, such suspension makes it easy for the bike to take off on even the smallest of ramps, usually leading to an unavoidable heavy crash at high speed with a traffic vehicle if the rider is not careful.
The Powersurge also allows the rider to perform a wheelie at an absurdly huge angle, which can risk overturning the motorcycle if one is not careful while performing the wheelie.
All in all, the Powersurge is one of the best vehicles for races in enhanced versions, and even on the PS5 and Xbox Series X|S, it can still keep up with an HSW modified Hakuchou Drag on more technical circuits due to its impressive steering response and grip.
The bike is powered by a large battery cell and is connected with a single-speed transmission. It has a quiet sound similar to most electric-powered cars such as the Cyclone and the Tezeract, which can be heard in quiet areas with the radio off.

Trivia[]
Grand Theft Auto Online[]
- Upon starting the engine, the bike will produce a unique, electrical pulse sound.
- The bike has badges of the Shitzu Defiler in the texture files, although they are never used on the actual model.
- If modified correctly with the "Electric Future" options, the bike can bear a resemblance to "The Rule Breaker", a custom LiveWire by Moto Adonis workshop.
- The battery cell has a shaking animation similar to most internal-combustion engines.
Oversights[]
Grand Theft Auto Online[]
- The First-Person camera may clip into the fuel tank if the player has an ‘Electric Power’ or ‘Electric Future’ fuel tank equipped.
- This was fixed in the Mercenaries update.
- Neither the headlight or the tail light will work alongside the corresponding light coronas. Only the lower brake light works as intended.
- The character's feet sit slightly ahead of the actual foot pegs. This is most likely an oversight due to the alignment of the feet with the right-side shift lever.
- The brake discs are offset ever-so-slightly, resulting in an off-centred rotation as the vehicle is in motion.
