- Imani Tech upgrades available (Agency Vehicle Workshop)
- HSW upgrades available (LS Car Meet)”
The Penaud La Coureuse is an electric compact hatchback featured in Grand Theft Auto Online as part of the San Andreas Mercenaries update, released on July 20, 2023, during the La Coureuse Week event.
Design[]
Grand Theft Auto Online[]
The La Coureuse is primarily based on the 2022 Renault R5 Turbo 3E, with elements taken from the Legend Automobiles Turbo 3. Both of these cars, as well as the La Coureuse itself, are resto-mods of the Renault 5 Turbo.
Current Design Gallery[]
Performance[]
Grand Theft Auto Online[]
When activated, the La Coureuse emits the same startup sound used on the Powersurge.
The dial design is unique to the La Coureuse, and will light up red whenever the vehicle reaches 100MPH.
Features[]
The La Coureuse, along with selected Imani Tech vehicles, can be modified with a Remote Control Unit, which allows the ability to drive the vehicle remotely, similar to the RC Bandito and the Invade and Persuade Tank. Note that this feature cannot be kept if the Missile Lock-on Jammer is installed, and that the camera is always set to first-person view.
Armour/Defense[]
With 100% Armor upgrade and a player inside, the La Coureuse can withstand two regular explosives, or six Explosive rounds from the Heavy Sniper Mk II (blowing up on the next round). Unlike the vehicles from The Contract update, it lacks bulletproof windows, but it does not appear with a unique radar blip. Installing Louvers on the trunk does not provide protection against firearms.
The La Coureuse, along with selected Imani Tech vehicles, can be modified with a Missile Lock-on Jammer, which prevents the lock-on system of the Homing Launcher and other weaponised vehicles to lock onto it. Note that it cannot be kept if the Remote Control Unit is installed.

Trivia[]
Grand Theft Auto Online[]
- "La coureuse" means "the runner" in French.
- The vehicle's internal name is "Coureur", the masculine equivalent of the word "coureuse".
- The description mentioning the original 1970s La Coureuse being known as "Le Ride" in the United States is a reference to the Renault 5, which was renamed to Renault Le Car in the United States in 1977.
Oversights[]
- After the purchase, the vehicle's front pulse light bar colour will set in black by default, making it looks like non-functional. The player is also unable to change the colour as it is attached to the Dial Color/Accent Color that is disabled on the customization list.
- Alternatively, the vehicle has appeared with a white light bar equipped when purchased during specific event week from showrooms.
- If the bonnet is removed without damaging the light bar, the debris will continue to pulse.
- The pulse effect can be paused and remain active when timed correctly upon switching off the vehicle.
- Applying the "White Fukaru Sunstrip" option will give the vehicle increased resistance to explosives in a similar manner to the Armor Plating upgrade on selected Imani Tech vehicles.
- This has been patched after The Chop Shop update.
- The stock spoiler can be removed in a mod shop, by quickly alternating between a custom spoiler and the stock one.
