Fire「火, Hi?」 is the seventieth chapter of the Oshi no Ko manga series. It is written by Aka Akasaka and illustrated by Mengo Yokoyari. It was released in Weekly Young Jump on February 3, 2022.[1]
Summary[]
As part of the plan to boost B-Komachi's popularity, Mem-Cho proposes making an original song. Since they have only been using old songs, they need something new to attract the younger generation and so the three girls turn to Miyako, who then informs them that she has commissioned a new song from Himura. The girls immediately get excited as Himura is a top artist and had worked with the original incarnation of B-Komachi.
The mention of Himura's name catches the attention of Aqua, who slipped back into his old self and starts thinking about Ai and revenge. However he quickly snaps out of it once he recalls his conversation with Taiki. Kana approaches him for a casual conversation but quickly notices his change in demeanor.
Meanwhile Ruby gets impatient and wants to sing right away, only to be greeted by the disappointing news that the song is not ready yet. So Ruby wants Miyako to rush him but she is hesitant since he is giving them a special treatment and they are not in a hurry. Ruby argues idols' time is limited, Kana can return to acting at any moment and Mem-Cho will soon age out. With reluctance Miyako agrees to give him a call.
When Himura picks up the call, he gives himself some excuses but promise to deliver as promised. The truth is that he is stuck, unable to come up with the theme or the lyrics. Being an artists years ago, he has used all of his ideas and his passion has burnt out. As his motivation runs low, he contemplates quitting but then he receives a video message with Ruby thanking and encouraging him. With that he finds his creative flame and gets to work.
