Perfect Copy「完コピ, Kan Kopi?」 is the twenty-ninth chapter of the Oshi no Ko manga series. It is written by Aka Akasaka and illustrated by Mengo Yokoyari. It was released in Weekly Young Jump on December 24, 2020.[1]
Summary[]
As Kana has previously explained to Aqua, Akane is the brightest star of Lala Lai Theatrical Company. She prepares and studies her role throughly and she possess the ability to act them out to perfection. While she may not be a good fit for a reality show, there can be no other ways to describe her acting but a genius.
On the set of LoveforReal, Aqua is stunned as he witnesses Akane's performance first hand. Her ability to perfectly copy Ai not only leave a major impression on Aqua, the rest of the cast and crew are also drawn in by her new found charisma. Privately Akane thanks Aqua for making that video as Mem-Cho notices Aqua acting strangely around Akane since her return. To test her suspicions, she asks Aqua to grab a pouch for her, which he refuses but he obediently does so when Akane tells him to. Mem and Yuki realize that Akane's new character is his type and tease him about it. To their surprise, Aqua gets flustered and tells them to stop before running off. Realizing what have just happened, Mem and Yuki ask Akane what she plans to do. An anxious Akane snaps out of character, ponders on the question. She finally answers yes leaving the girls excited by this development.
Kana is less than pleased and decides to stop watching the show. Meanwhile, as Ruby watches Akane's performance she is reminded of her mother. Now alone to gather his thoughts, Aqua acknowledges that despite living with her as a child, he never knew anything about Ai, wondering how much of her he saw was genuine. More importantly, he questions the nature of his relationship with Ai: as her son, her fan, or something else.
The following day, as Kana heads towards school, she overhears passersby getting excited about the latest development of the show, particularly the pairing of Aqua and Akane. Then all of a sudden, she hears someone calling her name. It is Aqua and he is inviting her to skip school together, which she happily agrees to.
