Summary[]
Hikaru denies any culpability to Aqua, claiming "he" did not stab or push anyone. Meanwhile, Nino sits in a room with Akane and Ichigo where she reveals that Hikaru was not involved in any of her and Ryosuke's criminal activities. All he did was continuesly talk about Ai, trying to get them to "break".
Back with Aqua and Hikaru, the latter claims to have thought of Nino and Ryosuke as friends, which is why he told them about his relationship with Ai, denying to have known about their obsessions with her. Because of this perceived friendship, he sought their advise upon learning his ex-girlfriend was about to give birth at a hospital in Miyazaki, but he never went there himself and thus has no idea what exactly transpired. Similarly, after being contacted by Ai and given her address, he asked Ryosuke to deliver a bouquet for him, claiming he did not have the courage to do it himself.
Hikaru claims he never intended to harm anyone but Aqua calls him out for lying, revealing that his act fell apart when he did nothing to protect Ruby despite knowing of Nino's mental state. Aqua then accuses Hikaru of plotting to have Ruby killed and intentionally driving Nino and Ryosuke to madness, calling him worse than a murderer: an instigator who refuses to get his hands dirty. Realizing that Aqua has the same "lying eyes" as himself and Ai, Hikaru is intrigued and asks his son how many people he has manipulated to achieve his goals. While admitting that they both use others for their own sakes, Aqua claims Ruby is different, as she is singing at B-Komachi's concert right now to save all those who are listening.
Aqua claims that their "lying eyes" are not meant to deceive but to convey love. He then pulls out a knife and points it at Hikaru, stating that he wants to make him disappear for the sake of Ruby's future.
