Drinking Party「飲み会, Nomikai?」 is the sixty-seventh chapter of the Oshi no Ko manga series. It is written by Aka Akasaka and illustrated by Mengo Yokoyari. It was released in Weekly Young Jump on January 6, 2022.[1]
Summary[]
After another performance, the various actors of the Tokyo Blade stage play are in the backstage when Rio suggests heading out for drinks again. Akane immediately nominates herself to make the reservations. Rio invites Taiki, whom in turn invites Kindachi. Kana is not interested in such parties and plans to go home but changes her mind when Aqua states his intention of going.
At the BBQ place, after downing a couple of ginger ale, Kana starts blabbing about the industry they work in. Aqua take this opportunity to sit himself next to Kindachi and starts asking about Lala Lai. Kindachi explains that at the beginning, it was a bunch of people who performed in a drama school play coming together to form a drama club. Aqua continue asking questions but then Kindachi mentions workshops and Aqua tries to find out more but Kindachi tells him to stop prying. Aqua make more attempts to get Kindachi to talk more about the topic but he flat out refuses. Taiki then steps in and take the two to another bar.
At the next bar, Taiki gets the bartenders to keep Kindachi drinking in order to get him to spill the beans. Aqua asks Taiki what kind of bar it is and Taiki responds that it is served by idols or models who need to earn a little more behind their agent's back. The place is also membership based, which is perfect for them due to the need to keep a secret. Kindachi then tries to get Taiki drinking, the closeness of the two prompts Aqua to ask about their relationship. Taiki explains that he was an orphan and Kindachi has been taking care of him since he left the orphanage. Kindachi then interrupts by saying people who lack something like Taiki and Aqua are great at acting, he then praises Aqua' performance as the emotions felt real.
Kindachi then passes out and Taiki apologizes that he has failed to get Kindachi to talk about his past. However Aqua does not mind as he has something else in mind. Aqua pulls out a DNA analysis, which states Aqua and Taiki share a biological father and he wishes to know more about him.
