Taiki Himekawa「
He is later revealed to also be Aqua and Ruby Hoshino's older half-brother, conceived when his mother had an affair with their father and prompting his legal father to commit murder-suicide with her after he learned about it.
Appearance[]
During his first appearance, Taiki looked similar to Gorou Amamiya, sporting a disheveled black hair, purple eyes, stubbles and square-rimmed glasses.[1]
Preceding the Tokyo Blade theater play, he shaved his stubble and tamed his hair. His new appearance also makes him resembles Aqua with black hair and glasses which is understandable as they both inherits their appearance from their father.
Personality[]
Taiki is normally a fairly laid-back and unkept guy, seemingly not paying much attention to maintaining his appearance and only cleaning himself up right before a performance. He is similarly disinterested in his studies, admitting to having never even bothered learning how to read kanji. Overall, Frill describes him as an "idiot who tries to look cool". Like Kamoshida, Taiki is a womanizer who loves to engage and hooking up with women for pleasures, but unlike the former who has no qualms pursuing underage girls in public, Taiki only interacts with age-appropriate women in strict membership-only hangout facilities concealed from the eyes of the press and public as part of his own code and conducts and even tells Aqua that he is even self-conscious about it as it reminds of his father.
However, when acting, his demeanor completely changes as he thrusts himself into the character he is playing as. His acting ability is also a source of pride for him, declaring that no performance in the Tokyo Blade stage play will outshine his own.

Etymology[]
- The name Taiki means "big, great" (大) (tai) and "brightness, radiance, shine, sparkle, gleam, twinkle" (輝) (ki).
- Taiki's surname Himekawa means "princess, young lady of noble birth" (姫) (hime) and "river, stream" (川) (kawa).
- His original surname Uehara means "above, top, upper" (上) (ue) and "field, plain" (原) (hara).
Trivia[]
- Taiki is one of the people knowing the love triangle between Aqua Hoshino, Akane Kurokawa and Kana Arima. He feels despair when his half-brother fools around with those two girls and advises Aqua to make up his mind as soon as possible.
- Taiki does not own eye contacts and chooses to deliberately go without them. When portraying characters without glasses, he will simply not wear them. This is because, according to his belief, actors are able to portray characters only using their movements. And even without glasses he would be able to make to their general movements.[6]
- Taiki's first appearance in anime was on Episode 6 when a photo of Lala Lai Theatrical Company's members in Akane's room showed his figure.
Notes[]
- ↑ 1.0 1.1 Base on the events depicted during Private arc, it can be inferred that Taiki's birthday is some time between November and December and Movie arc takes place during the summer approximately 18-20 months later. The End of the Play arc take place between the end of summer and some time during November while Toward the Stars and Dreams arc take place immediately after.
