Countermeasure「対策, Taisaku?」 is the one-hundred and fourth chapter of Oshi no Ko manga series. It is written by Aka Akasaka and Illustrated by Mengo Yokoyari.
Summary[]
With Kana back in the office, Miyako can finally formulate a plan to counter the tabloids' claims. Ruby and Mem-Cho begin gossiping about Kana's exploits behind her back which led a loud outburst from the former child actor, denying everything. However she also understated the implication of her accusation and apologizes for the trouble she has caused. Miyako does not think it was necessary as the tabloids make the celebrities' lives difficult. And any measures by the talents to thwart their attempts would only lead to further measures by the tabloids part. Miyako notes that the photos were taken outside director Shima's apartment and given the gossips about him being a playboy, he was likely the tabloid's main target and Kana was simply unfortunate to be the one to have her photos taken.
Miyako then gives the girls a couple of advice to avoid being photographed by tabloids. She ends her little pep talk on the subject of leaks, which is usually perpetuated by those that are closest. And finally be sure to be polite with the journalists as they tend to be harsher against those who they feel negative about. Kana apologizes again, explaining that she knew about director Shima's reputation but she still went through with it due to her desperation for an acting role. Mem-Cho gives her a hug and rants about the injustices for them needing to be perfect without dropping their guard.
Alone with her brother, Ruby discusses Kana's situation with him. Aqua remembers his conversation with Mem-Cho about Kana becoming an idol because of him, asks Ruby what if she would save Kana even if it would be really painful for the former. Ruby responds with a yes and Aqua takes his leave, knowing that there is still time and therefore a chance to save Kana.
