Pedestrian Bridge「歩道橋, Hodōkyō?」 is the seventy-first chapter of the Oshi no Ko manga series. It is written by Aka Akasaka and illustrated by Mengo Yokoyari. It was released in Weekly Young Jump on February 17, 2022.[1]
Summary[]
The stage show of Tokyo Blade has come to an end and Aqua's schedule has freed up. As he wonders what he should do next, Ruby offers to let him join them on the trip to Miyazaki. After a quick thought, he accepts, much to Kana's delight. Kana then asks if he has a trolley case since it is going to be a long trip. Aqua casually answers that he simply uses whatever is lying around in the office. Kana is not impressed by his response and volunteers to help him pick one that day but Aqua has a date with Akane, so they agree to meet up for the following day. Once he leaves, Kana feels a little down, wondering when he will break up with Akane.
During the date, Aqua starts thinking about his future with Akane. Since his revenge is over, he no longer needs to keep her around and with a bright future ahead of her, he should not keep hold of her either. Akane starts discussing about his trip to Miyazaki and expresses envy as she doesn't get to travel much, at least not with people their age. On the spot, Aqua makes an offer for her to come along as well as there is something he wants to discuss with her during this trip. Akane quickly deduces that Aqua is considering breaking up with him and urges him to talk about it right away.
The two go for a walk, Akane tells him that she has enjoyed the time she spent with him in the time since LoveforReal ended. Aqua then points out that their relationship was not natural to begin with and he does not want to tie her down. Akane acknowledges his points and she was always aware that he kept her because she was useful somehow, so she asks if she is no longer useful to him and she has helped him or not. She continues to reflect that she always knew he is sly but as they arrive at the bridge where he saved her, she hugs him, stating he is also kind for he saved her without any malicious motive. Therefore she did not hate that he kissed her or if he want to kiss or have sex with her.
