Idol and Love「アイドルと恋愛, Aidoru to ren'ai?」 is the one-hundred and second chapter of Oshi no Ko manga series. It is written by Aka Akasaka and Illustrated by Mengo Yokoyari.
Summary[]
In the dressing room of an idol festival, an idol asks the makeup artist to cover up a mark on her shoulder, she explains her boyfriend has a biting fetish. Ruby who has heard the conversation nearby, starts thinking about the idea of idols should not fall in love. Whether it's idols, youtubers or voice actors, they all use various ways to hide their relationships. However things have changed, with the prominence of social media, the number of scandals have increased but each one weaker than the last. Nowadays scandals are no longer fatal to a ones' career, which is probably how so many idols get away with having a relationship, Ruby thought. However most of the coverage about idol's relationship come from leaks of those in the industry. And that's the dark side of the entertainment industry, it is harsh and cruel which can make one want to run away.
Back at Ichigo Production, Inc, Kana and Mem-Cho are watching the news about an idol retiring. Mem-Cho thinks it is a shame but Kana believes that maybe she is not cut out for the job. Kana does elaborate but seeing how gloomy she seems, she tries to cheer her up by asking her to go for a drink and share her sorrows. Kana declines the offer and asks to be left alone.
Mem-Cho decides not to follow her but goes to Aqua for help. She is worried that Kana is about to quit and ask him to help. Aqua is still reluctant as he is still trying to protect her. However Mem-Cho tells him that Kana became an idol because of him, she walked this path because he asked her to. However Aqua remain fixated with his plan and does not want anything to do with her.
Meanwhile out on the streets, Kana is approached by a paparazzi and Miyako receives an email inquiring about the relationship between Kana and director Shima.
