"Training Power" Maitei is a beast tamer who trains Blugori. He appears in One Piece Odyssey.

He has trained two Blugori, who he calls the Blugori Corps (ブルゴリ軍団, Buruguri Gundan^?).

Appearance

Maitei is a slim man with tan skin, thin lips, and a brown goatee. He wears aviator sunglasses, a black cowboy hat, and a green patterned shirt.

Personality

Maitei is proud of his training skills. Despite his mediocre training skills, he is liked by the Blugori he trains, causing them to listen to him. Due to this, he is overly confident in his abilities.

Abilities and Powers

Maitei is a skilled animal trainer with some veterinary abilities, having tended to and raised Blugori that were injured.

Maitei uses a rifle, with which he has shown proficient skill.

History

Past

Sometime in the last two years, Maitei found two Blugori who escaped from Impel Down during the mass breakout. He tended to their wounds and began to train them, planning on ordering them to rampage then selling them on the black market.

At some point, he was assigned a 85,000,000 bounty.

One Piece Odyssey

Maitei traveled to Dressrosa, intending to set his Blugori lose. However, his bounty was seen by the Straw Hat Pirates, who tracked him down and defeated him, turning him over to Margin to claim his bounty. After defeating him, Chopper told the Blugori to leave without causing damage, so the Blugori Corps remained free.

Before being turned in, Maitei was recruited by Margin, and joined the Bounty Pirates. He participated in the ambush on the Straw Hats, but was defeated and turned over to the Marines once again.

Reunion of Memories

In the Water Seven Memoria where Iceburg was arrested, Maitei was hired by the World Government to provide security at Dock 1. He competed with Insk and Mooji to be fully hired by the Government, but they were all defeated by the Straw Hat Pirates.
