Ikidaore Joe is a man in Nanohana who, due to the conflicts in the Arabasta Kingdom, frequently experiences immense hunger. He is a member of the Ikidaore Family.[1]
In the modified Memoria created by the Large Mukashic Cube, he is instead named Fukutsu Joe (腹痛ジョー, Fukutsū Jō?, English version: "Stomachache Joe").[2]
Appearance[]
Joe is a slender man with brown hair, a mustache, and glasses. He wears a light blue shirt, green plaid overshirt with the sleeves rolled up, black pants, a brown belt, and brown boots with a golden buckle on them.
History[]
One Piece Odyssey[]
Joe laid on the street in Nanohana, stricken with stomach pain. He was found by the Straw Hat Pirates, and Chopper tried to diagnose his illness, though he was unable to. The pirates promised to go find his medicine, and he remained in the street waiting.
The Straw Hats later returned with an Energy Apple, which they gave to Joe. After eating the apple, he turned out to be fine, and was actually just hungry. He informed the Straw Hats that he acts like he's in immense pain to get food handouts, and gave them the key to unlock the gate blocking the Nanohana main square. After giving them the key, Joe laid back down on the floor to take a nap, to Chopper's dismay.
Some time later, Joe attempted to travel through the Ravine of No Return, collapsing part way through. He was found by the Straw Hats for a second time, who offered him two Energy Apples; as thanks, he gave them two Excite Apples.
Reunion of Memories[]
In the Arabasta Memoria where Crocodile took over, Joe ate all his food in the desert around Nanohana, including two foods that give him indigestion when combined. He was found by the Straw Hat Pirates, and gave them a piece of jewelry in exchange for indigestion medication.
Trivia[]
- Joe's family name, Ikidaore (行き倒れ?), means "collapsed person".
