Raniya is the daughter of a prominent merchant who frequently travels for business. She appears in One Piece Odyssey.

Appearance

Raniya is a slim woman with fair skin, thin eyebrows, a slim nose, red hair, and round glasses. She wears a white undershirt, brown sash, light brown coat, and a gold necklace.

Personality

Raniya is a kind-hearted person, saving a baby Desert Bananawani and hiding it from villagers who were trying to hunt it.

History

Past

When she was a child, Raniya saved a baby Desert Bananawani who had been separated from its parents and wandered into town. She hid it from the adults trying to hunt it, cared for it, and eventually let it free once it was no longer injured.

One Piece Odyssey

While traveling through the desert, Raniya was attacked by pirates who tried to kidnap her. However, she was saved by the Desert Bananawani she saved as a child, who happened to see the confrontation. In her escape, Raniya dropped her ring.

Some time later, she realized she had lost her ring in the desert and rushed out of Alubarna to go look for it, getting separated from her companions in the process. While searching, she was approached by Sanji, Chopper, and Brook, who returned the ring and explained that the Desert Bananawani had found it after saving her. When they explained that it was the same as the one she saved as a child, she explained that she didn't remember ever saving a Desert Bananawani, having forgotten it over time.

As the Straw Hats began leaving, Raniya was attacked by the same pirates again, attempting once again to kidnap her. The Straw Hats tried to intervene, but were blocked by the Royal Army, who mistook them for the kidnappers. In the commotion, the kidnappers made off with Raniya and brought her to their hideout in a desert cave.

Some time later, the three Straw Hats arrived to save her. As they fought off the pirates, the Desert Bananawani dug through the ground to reach the cave, joining the fight and helping defeat the pirates. With Raniya free, the Desert Bananawani thanked her for saving it as a child.
