Paul Benson (1918-2004) was a federal judge for the United States District Court for the District of North Dakota.

Benson was nominated by President Richard Nixon on July 12, 1971, to a seat vacated by Ronald Davies; he was confirmed by the Senate on July 29, 1971, and received commission that same day. From 1971-1985, he served as the chief judge. He assumed senior status on December 31, 1985. He served the District of North Dakota until his death on April 22, 2004. Benson was succeeded in this position by Rodney Webb.
