Mad Max: Fury Road

Mad Max: Fury Road

Despite not loving this film as much as most people and that may be for one reason and yes, many may want me dead for this but honestly, even though I know a good amount of the story behind Mad Max, I actually haven't seen the first three films from all those years ago.

After seeing this film, there is no way in hell that I'm not going to watch the first three and I think that once I do that I'll like this film alot more but I will say that I didn't have any trouble watching this film despite not seeing the first three, It was an excellent reboot/sequel of sorts that was done extremely well.

Honestly, I think the best thing about this film is hands down all those practical effects which looked absolutely incredible but you've probably heard a ton of people praise that, I think another thing that needs praise is the ridiculously beautiful cinematography in this film, some shots looked like a legit painting and it was glorious, that may sound cheesy but really, it looked so damn well done, this world looked so real.

The characters and acting in this film was fantastic, Hardy as Max was great but once again, once I go back to see Gibson's portrayal, I may like him more or less, we'll see but speaking now about the new characters, Charlize Theron was damn good as Furiosa as well as Nicholas Hoult as Nux, all really good, I didn't mind the villain either, he was pretty damn cool but not like amazingly awesome or anything but he looked that way though and I think I'll like him more when I watch this film again.

This is definitely a film to check out though, it's just plain awesome fun and you can clearly see all the heart put into it by director George Miller who returned to the franchise as well as this film has been trying to be made for years and it's finally here and this is a great thing to say but damn, I think it was worth that wait, go see this film, you don't need to see the others if you haven't seen them but this film will make you want to watch them.
