I finally watched this, so you can all leave me alone. When it comes to all-out action films with a pretty straight-forward narrative, you have to get it right, or it can easily become messy and bland. Mad Max Fury Road does not have that problem.
This is genuinely one of the most well-executed action films I’ve ever seen. Rich in excitement throughout, with jaw-dropping visuals and just the right amount of mayhem, I can’t imagine just how good this looked in cinemas; hopefully they do another theatrical release for the 10-year anniversary.
Points can definitely be made about how none of the characters had any real development and were pretty generic. If I’m honest, I don’t think all films really need that. This is unapologetically all-out action and a visual spectacle.
