Rewatched 25 Jan 2023

Been far too long since I had seen this. And in a theater too? Incredible. Just a masterfully choreographed action films with some of the most dense and layered themes touching on toxic masculinity, the objectification of women, global warming and the future fight for common resources, the dangers of deification, and the necessity of violence for a just cause. And you know, if you don’t agree with that, that’s fine, it doesn’t negate any of the strong action sequences, characterization, and the potential application of those themes. Also a film that fully commits to its tone and world, just beautiful.
