I live, I die. I LIVE AGAIN!
There’s not much to say more about this film as everyone knows how good this is. But I’ll have a bit of a jab and put my thoughts in.
It’s been a while since I’ve seen this film, first time I saw it with my mate back in 2015. Unfortunately I didn’t get to see it at the cinema, but it was still amazing on a 40inch or something tv lol.
But now I’m back to a even smaller screen but in the comfort of my own home with good ass headphones. I cranked that baby right up more than I normally do with other films. I turned the lights off closed my door and hit play.
~ My name is Max. My world is fire. And blood.
Set in the wonderful dunes of Australia you have a reboot of a classic Australian cinema, no one thought this could have happened but fuck me it did and it did splendidly. The budget was $150-185 million and it did an outstanding gross of $375 million world wide. It is also claimed that the film had barely any CGI at all, it was all done practically. So what does that mean? It means that every single action scene was real and authentic. The smashing of vehicles, the explosions, the gun fire and let’s not forget the multiple of vehicles being shown. Fucking brilliant.
Tom Hardy does an excellent job as Max, just a ruthless individual haunted by his past. Then there is Charlize Theron as Furiosa who is a woman who is driven for a new beginning, and then there is Nux played by Nicholas Hoult who is a seeker looking for a change of pace instead of carrying on his ride.
From its explosive action to the crazy amount of visuals. This film truly is to die for. Not only for action fans but also for those who love the original.
This 100% put Australian cinema back on the map. Thank you George Miller, and before I go whenever that prequel comes I will be in that cinema straight away. A prequel is very much not needed, but hey! If it’s even a little bit close to this film I will be astounded.
Not sure how soon it will be but I will have to check out the Black & Chrome Edition as so I get an even more look at this marvel of a film.
Oh yeah, it’s a 5 star. Who am I kidding anyway.
Oh, what a day... what a lovely day!
