There is a moment in the film when Furiosa shows Max how to turn on the oil rig through a complex sequence of pushing buttons and he gets it on the first go! I would need it explained to me at least five times, write down some notes, and would also have to ask some follow up questions while performing the task. I’m not cut out for the post-apocalypse.
For the first time in the series’ history, George Miller finally gets a decent budget to play with and he just goes crazy with it! The stuff he concocts is off the wall insanity. Never has a film been this exciting, visually stunning, with the pedal to the floor for the entire runtime. This has to be either my tenth or eleventh viewing and my jaw is on the floor each time I hit play. It’s hard to fathom how it was all possible but I’m super thankful this exists.
Fourth entries in a franchise should never be THIS good. This is top shelf cinema and gets my highest possible recommendation.
