Make a reflection about If you were the teacher in the movie, how will you address the situations of

your students who are struggling with different difficulties.

The movie "Every Child is Special" is a heartwarming and thought-provoking film that highlights
the importance of understanding and appreciating individual differences in children. The story
revolves around Ishaan, an 8-year-old boy who is struggling in school due to his different learning
difficulties. Ishaan's teachers and parents initially misunderstood his condition, labeling him as lazy
and careless. However, with the help of his art teacher, Ram Shankar Nikumbh, Ishaan's true
potential was discovered, and he was able to overcome his struggles.

If I were the teacher in the movie, I'd remember that "every child is special" isn't just a saying, it's a
truth I'd hold close to my heart. Every student would walk into my classroom despite their
differences such as their own unique strengths, talents, and challenges. As a teacher, it is my job
to help my students blossom into the best versions of theirselves.

I want to create a classroom where everyone feels safe and respected. I will make sure that
everyone has a chance to participate, share their ideas and teach them about different cultures and
backgrounds, helping them understand that we're all different but we're all part of the same
community. In fact, I will encourage them to celebrate their differences and to learn from each other.
In terms of learning difficulties, I will use simple words, ask questions, and try to observe and
understand their strengths and weaknesses. Through that it will help me in making teaching
strategies that will assures that my students would learn effectively. Just like what teacher Ram
Nikumbhs done to Ishaan just to overcome his learning difficulties, I will break down the lessons
into smaller steps, making sure they understand each part before moving on and use different ways
to teach, like applying games, stories, and hands-on activities, and showing pictures that they might
find relatable to make an engaging and conducive learning. Otherwise if I’ve noticed that someone
is having difficulties in coping up our lesson I will give or provide extra help and time and offer it
after school or during breaks, making sure they felt supported and not embarrassed.

In terms of friendships, especially for kids who are the normal one. I will teach them the
importance of being kind and respectful to everyone specially those with disabilities or
experiencing some difficulties in order for them to feel that everyone is included. Additionally, if a
student is experiencing inappropriate treatment like bullying, I will take it seriously and talk to
them about how to stand up for themselves and remind them that they are worthy of respect and
that they have the right to feel safe.

Moreover, we can’t deny that some students might be dealing with sadness or loneliness. As a
teacher, I will let them know that it's okay to feel that way sometimes, and that I'm there for them.
I will listen to their problems and offer words of encouragement. I will also help them find
activities they enjoy, like joining a club or playing a sport, to help them make new friends, boost
their confidence and feel connected. I’ll remind them that they are not alone and that there are
people who care about them. Being a teacher isn't just about teaching subjects; it's about helping
students grow into kind, responsible, and caring individuals. I want my classroom to be a place
where students feel loved, supported, and empowered to reach their full potential. I will keep on
reminding them that they are capable of amazing things, and that I believe in them.
