Sheriff Buck Leatherleaf is a minor recurring character in Amphibia. He works as Wartwood's local sheriff and the head officer of the Wartwood Swamp Police Department (WSPD).
Appearance[]
Sheriff Buck Leatherleaf dresses fairly western-styled, with a dark-grey jacket over an orange shirt and a brown western style hat. He also wears a leather belt with a golden buckle featuring a stylized letter "B" engraved onto it. His most prominent features include his white, bushy mustache and eyebrows.
Background[]
Sheriff Buck Leatherleaf is the sheriff of Wartwood Swamp and would arrest anyone who breaks the law, steals, or does anything in illegal.
In "Girl Time", Sheriff Leatherleaf arrests Anne Boonchuy and the Plantar family when Anne uses Hop Pop's IOUs, which aren't good since Hop Pop is broke. Since they don't have any money, Anne spots a gold trophy and wonders if it is worth it to settle their debt. In order to earn it, Polly has to do the biggest spit, but has trouble with it. She later regains it and makes the biggest spit in the swamp. Polly then wins the trophy and uses it help get her family bailed out.
In "Fiddle Me This", he watches Anne and the Plantars try to park Bessie between two snails, annoying him and silently disapproving of Hop Pop doing so.
In "Sprivy", he is among the resistance who stay behind to beat up a piñata that looks like King Andrias.
In "Grime's Pupil", Buck becomes part of Sasha's cheerleading squad while Sprig and Grime battle Captain Beatrix.
