The Toad Army is an army of toad soldiers under the command of the Newtopian military that enacts rule of law across Amphibia. Nonetheless this land force is led by the Toad High Council, a council commanded by the 'Toad Lords' from four distinct regions of Amphibia. Those Toad Lords being Captain Aldo, Captain Bufo, Captain Beatrix, and Captain Grime, with the latter having lost his position after the events of "Reunion".

The Toad Army as a whole is quite organized, regimented and being 'supported' by the Newtopian military. It is structured into different units, with one of those garrisons located at Toad Tower AKA South Tower, Frog Valley formerly led by Captain Grime and his second in-command/1st Lieutenant Sasha Waybright. Grime's Toad Army garrison stationed at Toad Tower were originally enforcing law to the Valley inhabitants and collect taxes through various means, making them bullies to the local population. However, a majority of them turned lazy and reckless leading to Grime becoming so disappointed that he had to put one of his own man into the torture room for his lack of uniform. Nonetheless Grime's garrison seemed to have improved once Sasha used her manipulative skills to encourage the toads be more competent and reliable. Until they were against Hopediah Plantar from Wartwood for being a rebel and convincing amphibians across the Valley to stop paying their taxes (even though Hop Pop was literally unaware of it all) as a sign of resistance to the current government.
After the destruction of Toad Tower, the Valley garrison were thought to be disbanded and didn't follow Grime anymore possibly for his poor leadership and caused their tower turned into shambles. Turns out the leaderless garrison members (without Grime, Sasha, Braddock and Percy) like Bog, Fens, and Mire turned to banditry for months as a means to survive until Bog was appointed by Jacinda as the new leader of both Toad Tower and the reorganized Toad Army garrison, which they seemed to get back to Toad Tower after leaving Wartwood.
For the rest of the other garrisons from the rest of the Toad Lords, they were later located at North Tower because of the meeting and Grime with Sasha's rebellion against King Andrias' Newtopian government. Though at first they successfully have their plans in motion, the gates at Newtopia close and the Newtopia castle flies above the capital then unleashes its energy weapon which destroyed North Tower. It seems their plans failed while a lot of them have been captured by Andrias' Frobot military force instead of Sasha, Grime, and Beatrix with other toads including Bufo, Bog, Fens, and Mire; as the latter group hid underground and she sent a messenger bat with what's happening to her to Grime who's at the Plantar Farm.
Later Beatrix with her garrison and other troops not yet captured or forced to work for Andrias allied with the Wartwood Resistance to fight against Andrias then later the Core.
History[]
Not much is known about the history of this army before Anne's arrival in Amphibia other than it was under the command of the Newtopian military. However, when Grime found Sasha, he originally disliked her for lying to him, but when Grime discovered Anne's shoe, he made the assumption that there were more humans. At first, his army didn’t like Captain Grime, but with the help of Sasha's manipulative personality, she taught him to respect and compliment his army rather than shout at them. This resulted in the toad soldiers to act co-operative and actually start admiring Grime. When Anne and Sasha rediscovered themselves, the Toad Army was going to attack the rebellious amphibians, and most importantly, murder Hop Pop. So they held a banquet in order to trick the citizens of Wartwood Swamp into traveling to Toad Tower. Sprig eventually learned their secret through a nervous guard, and revealed it to everyone, causing a fight between the citizens and the guards. While escaping, Wally planted boomshrooms in the sewer, with the intent to destroy the tower. When they reached the roof, they started a fight with Sasha and Anne. Grime requested to do it "The Toad Fashion Way", a duel. The duel resulted in a victory for Anne and the other rebellious amphibians. However, the boomshrooms that Wally planted destroyed the Toad Tower, and Sasha fell, close to her death. Before hitting the ground, Grime jumped and caught Sasha, rescuing her, his new second-in-command. With Sasha still fine but unconscious, Grime with his remaining soldiers left Toad Tower into the jungles, thought to be disbanded.
Ever since the events in "Reunion", Captain Grime has lost his entire army garrison, except Sasha, Braddock, and Percy. Almost all of them from Toad Tower became bandits for months until their failed raid in Wartwood led to Bog getting appointed by Jacinda as the new leader of both Toad Tower and the reorganized Toad Army garrison. After that they left Wartwood and headed back to Toad Tower.

- Almost all those soldiers in that garrison eventually returned in "Toad to Redemption", having been reduced to bandits for months until Bog was appointed by Jacinda as the leader of Toad Tower and the reorganized Toad Army garrison at Tower Tower.
