Lady Olivia is a supporting character in Amphibia. She was the royal advisor to King Andrias before he revealed his evil nature.
Appearance
Body
Lady Olivia is an aquamarine newt with a lighter underbelly and long navy blue hair tied into a bun with a shell band.
Clothing
She wears a purple and yellow taffeta dress with scale-like designs stitched into a pattern. She also wears white gloves and a golden brooch with a purple semi-transparent shawl. She is shown to always be barefoot. In the epilogue, she wears a pink gown with frilled sleeves and a purple coverup with the Amphibian insignia on both sides.
Personality
Olivia presents herself as an aloof and elegant lady, being part of the royal household, and tries to make King Andrias act upon his status as well. As a descendant of a long line of newts who had made a vow to protect Amphibia's delicate nature, Lady Olivia upholds her family's sacred oath with high regard and will turn against those who threaten it. While Olivia loves her mother and remembers her fondly, her greatest fear is disappointing her after King Andrias' deforestation of Amphibia.
Olivia is welcoming and tolerant to strangers, and always acts politely whether she wants to or not. She also has a temper for when rules are broken or tomfoolery is afoot, such as when during "The Sleepover to End All Sleepovers", when Marcy, Anne, Sprig, and Polly caused havoc on some castle rooms, Olivia battered everyone to the ground while reminding them of the regulations of the castle. King Andrias' deception leading to him stripping Amphibia of all of its natural resources leads to her and General Yunan completely turning against him and attempting to rescue Marcy.
Although Olivia is sometimes annoyed with Marcy's childishness and energetic personality, Olivia does appear to be truly fond of her, as she was happy that she was willing to honor her sacred oath and look after Amphibia as well. She later gave Marcy a blanket and hot tea after she awakens from stasis to comfort her. Olivia also looks at Marcy with high regard due to all of her accomplishments. Even though she knows that Marcy intentionally stranded herself and her friends in Amphibia, Olivia still trusts and cares for Marcy and was even offended when General Yunan called Marcy and her friends "Scheming Backstabbers".
Background
Early life
Lady Olivia is the descendant of a line of Newts who made a sacred vow to watch, care for, and protect the land of Amphibia. She lived in the Newtopia Castle with her mother, who served as King Andrias' advisor. When Olivia was little, she used to sneak down to the basement and befriended the Moss Men.[2]
After her mother passed away, Olivia later became Andrias' advisor, but was unaware of his real plans for Amphibia. Olivia continued honoring her family's vow to ensure the land of Amphibia was protected and cared.[2]
Meeting Marcy

One day, she meets Marcy Wu, a human girl who arrives in Newtopia,[3] after being teleported by the Calamity Box that she and her friends, Sasha Waybright and Anne Boonchuy stole from a thrift store back on Earth.[4] Olivia takes Marcy to a hospital when she breaks her leg after falling down a flight of stairs.[3]

Sometime later, Olivia takes Marcy to the castle. She then introduces her to the king, without knowing that Andrias already knows who Marcy is. She then watches as Marcy climbs up onto Andrias and goes into his robe pocket and gives him a pin as a gift for the king. She is then in shock at first, but Andrias likes the gift and decides to make her their guest and master.[5] After taking Marcy to her quarters, Olivia shows her a view of Amphibia's surrounding nature and explains her family's vow. Olivia is happy that Marcy will honor her family's vow due to the kindness and care the Newts showed her after she first arrived in Amphibia.[2]

After Anne and the Plantar family arrive in Newtopia, Marcy introduces them to Lady Olivia; she welcomes the Plantars, but asks them not to touch anything, but Sprig breaks one of the Newtopian sculptures, causing her eye to twitch and her to leave the scene, escorted by soldiers.[6]
Marcy's sleepover

When Marcy goes to have a sleepover with Anne, Sprig, and Polly at the castle, Lady Olivia is their caretaker. When the group arrives at the castle for the sleepover, Olivia greets them and takes them to Marcy's room, informing Marcy that they have arrived, and tells them that if they need her, she will be in the kitchen. Olivia's tranquility is soon interrupted due to the numerous pranks of the group, who even enter her room and interrupt her reading, which angers her. She warns them that there are rooms they can't enter, especially the basement, but before she can say why, Anne interrupts her by spraying silly strings in her face. The group decides, despite this warning, to go to the basement, and before they do, Polly draws a mustache on Olivia's face with a marker. Furious at not getting a good night's sleep, Olivia informs them that it's time for them to see King Andrias.[7]
When she takes the girls and the Plantars to their meeting with Andrias, one of the guards hands Olivia a handkerchief to remove the mustache Polly drew on her.[8]

Following the takeover of Newtopia by Sasha and Captain Grime, Olivia reveals a secret backdoor to the group when escaping the toad guards. Anne devises a plan to overthrow Sasha and free King Andrias, and Lady Olivia goes with Marcy to free Andrias from a prison while Hop Pop distracts the guards, succeeding. Back at the castle, when Andrias is "about to send the girls home", he reveals his true colors and intentions, leaving everyone in shock, including Olivia. When a battle begins against Andrias and an army of frobots he created, a frobot almost attacks Olivia, but she is saved by General Yunan.[9]

When Andrias retrieved the Calamity Box after mortally injuring Marcy and inadvertently transporting Anne and the Plantars to Earth, Olivia and Yunan tried to use the opportunity to flee the scene but were quickly caught, with the king questioning them whether they were still "with him". Terrified of her liege's true nature and the power which he now commands, Olivia swears fealty to him alongside Yunan. Andrias then ordered the two of them to put Marcy into a rejuvenation tank to save the girl's life.[10]

Weeks later, Olivia continues servicing Andrias out of fear, despite not wanting to be part of his plan to conquer the multiverse. While she is on the balcony remembering when Marcy was there and the good old times of Amphibia, a Frobot appears and informs her that she has been summoned by Andrias, which scares her. As she walks to go meet Andrias, she meets with Yunan, who was also summoned. They open the door and they see the king seemingly talking to "himself" about how things are professing and about testing a device on someone. As they close the door, Andrias opened it and invited them in. Andrias announced that both have been promoted; Olivia to see the constructions of the refineries and to drain all of Amphibia's natural resources, and Yunan to round up some frogs to work in those factories. Neither of them wants to follow orders, but they are forced to do so. Olivia decides to rescue Marcy as she is the only one who can help with Andrias, as she was even able to defeat Andrias in Flipwart. Yunan refuses at first because of her distrust of humans, but ends up agreeing.
As they head to where Marcy is, Olivia tells Yunan about her experiences in the castle garden, and when they encounter a Moss Man that Yunan was going to attack, Olivia tells her that he is harmless. When they arrive in the room where Marcy is being held, they found her in a healing tank. They take Marcy out of it and she wakes up from her comatose state. As they head to take her out, they suddenly find themselves outside the castle, much to their surprise. There, Olivia ends up running into her mother, who is disappointed that she let Amphibia fall into ruin before turning into a monster, much to Olivia's terror. Yunan and Marcy also begin to be attacked, and Marcy realizes, thanks to some eyes, that everything is a simulation, so she tells them to destroy all the eyes. They manage to destroy them all, but suddenly they meet King Andrias, who was watching them.
A large creature emerges from the top of the room and grabs Marcy. Olivia demands to know what they are doing to Marcy, and Andrias tells them that the creature is The Core, an ancient entity that is a collection of Amphibia's greatest minds preserved for eternity. He also tells them that the Core needs a host smart enough to be the best, with Marcy being the best choice. Andrias had tried to get the Core to choose someone other than Marcy, since he had developed a strong bond with Marcy, but the Core had refused. Olivia and Yunan are obligated to watch as Marcy begins to be possessed by the Core, and Andrias tells them that it is time for the Core to take Amphibia to its destiny.[2]
After Marcy's take by the Core, Lady Olivia and General Yunan are captured and then forced to wear mind-controlling collars to serve both Andrias and the Core.[11]
War in Amphibia

When the Wartwood Resistance start the war against Andrias and his army, Anne, Sasha, the Plantars, and Grime board into the castle in order to get the Calamity Box and save Marcy; however, they run into the mind-controlled Olivia and Yunan, who battle them. However, Anne and Sasha defeat the duo using dance moves back on Earth and free them by destroying the collars. After being freed, Olivia and Yunan try to warn them that Marcy was under the Core's control but failed, as they walk into Darcy's trap. While being held captive, Anne tricks the Core into sparing her by warning them that if they killed her, the remaining powers of the gems could cease to exist. Olivia and the group were later brought to the dungeon as Andrias and the Core begin their invasion on Earth.[11]
Frog-vasion and Amphibia in danger

Olivia is later held in the dungeon along Anne, the Plantars, Grime, Yunan, Sasha, Joe Sparrow, and Domino 2, but later escape thanks to one of Frobo's new upgrades. When arriving on Earth, Lady Olivia found it geometric. After defeating some Frobots, they alongside Mr. X, Mr. and Mrs. Boonchuy, head to Anne, Sasha, and Marcy's school to work on a plan on how to stop Andrias. Olivia, Yunan, Grime, and Sasha will go to the castle to shut down the Core, while Anne and the others will take care of Andrias and his army. While onboard, they were ambushed by a group of Cloak-Bots, and Olivia and Yunan decide to hold them off while Sasha and Grime go to shut off the force field. Olivia tells Yunan that she's glad she is with her in the battle. After defeating the Cloak-bots, Yunan and Olivia arrive in the room where Sasha has freed Marcy from the Core's control, but Marcy was still unconscious. When Marcy awakens, she and Yunan join in a group hug with the girls, the Plantars, Grime, and Frobo. After foiling the invasion and capturing Andrias, the group returns to Amphibia, and Lady Olivia then announces to all that both Darcy and Andrias have been defeated, declaring their victory. However, before they can celebrate, Amphibia's moon starts coming down thanks to the Core, much to their shock.[5]
Subsequently, Anne, Sasha, and Marcy obtain full powers from the Calamity Box, and manage to defeat and destroy the Core. The girls finally can go home, but also leave Amphibia forever, saying goodbye to all their friends there; Marcy says goodbye to Olivia, Yunan, and even Andrias. Olivia says Marcy not to be hard on herself.[12]
New life with Yunan

Sometime around nine months after the girls leave Amphibia,[13] Olivia and Yunan get married,[1] and alongside Grime, become dignitaries of Amphibia.[12]
Sometime later, the three arrive at Wartwood to celebrate the reveal of Anne's statue. There, she tells Yunan that she wouldn't mind living in Wartwood and starting a family, with Yunan liking the idea too.[12]
Relationships
Lady Olivia's mother
Lady Olivia has great respect for her mother and her work as the king's advisor, holding the same position after her death. In "Olivia & Yunan", it can be seen that she has a great fear of disappointing and dishonoring her mother, since when the Core took her mother's form and began to scold her for allowing Amphibia to be in her current situation, Olivia begins to feel a great fear for that.
General Yunan
Lady Olivia's relationship with General Yunan from the beginning has been on good terms, with mutual respect between the two. In "True Colors", when Yunan is to make her presentation to Anne and the Plantars, Olivia stops her from saying it because of the situation with Sasha and Grime. Later, when a Frobot is about to attack Lady Olivia, Yunan protects her. In "Turning Point", both tried to escape from King Andrias after the events with Anne and Marcy, but he caught them and forced them to be on his side.
In "Olivia & Yunan", both go to rescue Marcy to try to do something with Andrias, and although they manage to get her out of the regeneration tank, they are trapped by Andrias and the Core, the latter of whom ends up possessing Marcy in front of their eyes. Both are subsequently placed under mind control with collars until Anne and Sasha freed them.
In "All In", when they are on Earth fighting Andrias and his army of Frobots, they go with Sasha and Grime to stop the Core and free Marcy from its control, but they end up being ambushed by many Cloak-bots, so Yunan and Olivia stay behind to stop them while Sasha and Grime go to fight the Core. Olivia tells Yunan that she is glad she was with her on it, and Yunan says she is glad too.
Olivia and Yunan began at some point to feel romantic feelings for each other, with Olivia saying to Marcy that "In a way, you've helped us to see what was important as well." while holding Yunan's hand and smiling. They ended up marrying sometime after the defeat of Andrias and the Core, and started to consider settling down in Wartwood and having children.
King Andrias
Lady Olivia always had great respect and loyalty for her king, seeing him as a great figure of authority and respect, however, she always had a problem with him stepping outside of the etiquette.
When the king shows his true intentions, Lady Olivia lost all respect and loyalty in him, and a great fear for the king arose in Olivia, which at the beginning prevents her from refusing to follow his orders.
It is unknown what their current standing is now after Andrias betrayed his father and helped save Amphibia.
Marcy Wu
When she arrived in Newtopia, Lady Olivia took care of Marcy when she fell down a flight of stairs. The two got to know each other better and a mutual admiration for each other began to grow, with Olivia calling her "Master". When Olivia tells Marcy about her family's sacred vows to protect Amphibia, Marcy promises to take care of the place.
After Marcy is seriously injured by Andrias and locked in a rejuvenation tank, Olivia worries about Marcy. She soon decides to try to free her with Yunan's help so she can do something about Andrias, but they are discovered by the king. When Marcy is trapped by the Core, Olivia demands to know what they are going to do with Marcy, and to her horror, she watches as she is possessed by the entity. When Marcy is freed from the Core's control by Sasha, Olivia is glad to see that Marcy is okay.
Before leaving Amphibia for good, Marcy has a touching farewell to Lady Olivia and General Yunan, and Olivia tells her not to be hard on herself.
