Not to be confused with Yuba.

Yuba Oasis is a non-canon oasis town in Mr. Kuromaku's version of Arabasta, run by "Furo"que Works (ック・ワークス, Furokku Wākusu?).[2][1]

Unlike in the One Piece world, the oasis located here did not dry up, and the location was transformed into a resort by "Furo"que Works. It has a heavy gambling industry, centered around pulling gamblers into debt and forcing them to work it off.[1]

Map of Yuba Oasis

Yuba Oasis is split up into three main sections, being a water park, casino, and underground factory.

The water park contains multiple slides and pools despite the surrounding desert, a testament to the present oasis. It also contains street stalls selling food. This region is used as a draw to customers, with nearly free access; "Furo"que Works intends for visitors to begin here and funnel over to the casino.

The casino is a massive gambling den, and seems to make up the center of the oasis. It is designed to trick visitors into taking on large amounts of debt, which they are then forced to work off.

The underground factory is a factory located underneath the oasis proper, and is where "Furo"que Works forces those with debt to work.

History[]

Past[]

At some point, "Furo"que Works took control of Yuba, transforming it into the Yuba Oasis.

Fischer's x One Piece[]

The Fischer's Pirates stumbled onto Yuba Oasis while traveling through the desert. Upon arrival, they were greeted by Ms. Wednesday, though she didn't recognize her true name. She gave them free access to the oasis, and Silk Road eventually found the casino. However, he built up a lot of debt, and the crew was forced to the underground factory.

Upon arriving, they met Cobra, who informed them that Ms. Wednesday, also known as Nefertari Vivi, had attempted to infiltrade "Furo"que Works; however, upon joining, she forgot her past identity, and has become a full member of the group. Cobra came to Yuba Oasis to find her, but fell into Beli100,000,000 debt and has been stuck in the factory.

As the Fischer's Pirates contemplated their future actions, Crocodile declared the beginning of the next "Operation Utopia". Cobra explained that the operation is a water gun battle against "Furo"que Works, where they will grant any wish if you win. This motivated the pirates to join the event.

After an extended water gun fight, the Fischer's Pirates were able to defeat "Furo"que Works. While celebrating, they reminded Vivi of the Straw Hat Pirates, and she regained her memory. Crocodile gave them a Den Den Mushi connected to Mr. Kuromaku as a prize, and they left the oasis to continue their travels.

Trivia[]

  • The town is likely meant to be an equivalent to Rainbase, as they are both casino towns run by Baroque Works (or, in Yuba Oasis' case, the equivalent "Furo"que Works).
  • "Furo"que Works' name is a pun on "furo" (風呂?, meaning "bath") and Baroque Works (バロックワークス, Barokku Wākusu?), likely due to their headquarters being located at a oasis-turned-water park.
