Royal Sun Island is a World Government-affiliated island in Paradise. It appears in Legend of the Rainbow Island.[1]

On the Log Pose, it is followed by Great Ground.

Geography[]

Map of LOTRI

A map of the islands surrounding Royal Sun Island.

Royal Sun Island is a rocky sword-shaped island with little vegetation. In the center of the island is a large mountain with a cave part way up, and a large town sits at the base. Next to the town is a ring-shaped structure and a castle. On the opposite side of the mountain there is a smaller village.

Locations[]

Royal Sun Port[]

Royal Sun Port (ロワイヤル・サン港, Rowaiyaru San Minato?) is the island's main port, located south of the mountain.

Round Village[]

Round Village (ラウンド村, Raundo-mura?) is a small village on Royal Sun Island's east side. It is home to Blow and his family.

Regas[]

Regas (レガース, Regāsu?) is a town on Royal Sun Island's west side, next to the Colosseum. It is where the travelers that participate in the Royal Combat settled.

Forest[]

West of Round Village is a forest in which many medicinal herbs grow. However, the path to it is dangerous, so very few people go. Chopper can be found in the forest when Dias is alone. He is there at a hut to get herbs.

Eldora Cave[]

Eldora Cave (エルドラ洞, Erudora-hora?) is the large cave on the face of the mountain that was formerly used as a gold mine.

The name of the cave may be based on El Dorado, the real-life legendary city of gold.

Colosseum[]

The Colosseum (コロシアム, Koroshiamu?) is a large structure located next to Regas. It is where the Royal Combat is held.

Royal Combat[]

Fist Statue

The golden statue of Fist.

The Royal Combat (ロワイヤル・コンバット, Rowaiyaru Konbatto?) is a tournament hosted by King Fist and held in the Colosseum. The matches are held in a 2-v-2 style, with the winning duo getting a golden statue of Fist and the second-place winners getting an Emperor Carrot. The 20th, and apparently last, tournament was held on Fist's birthday.

The tournament appears to be managed by the Marines, who act as judges during the rounds.

History[]

Past[]

At some point in the past, King Fist implemented the Royal Combat, a large-scale fighting tournament. This attracted various fighters to the island, but their disregard for the law decreased safety and increased poverty on the island.

Legend of the Rainbow Island[]

With the anger of the citizens' over the Royal Combat at a boiling point, Mitt tried to force out the Royal Combat fighters, but failed. However, his fight was noticed by the Straw Hat Pirates, who convinced Fist to shut down the tournament for the good of the island.
