Rainbow Island is a legendary island in Paradise. It is generally considered to be a myth, said to be located at the end of a rainbow, but does actually exist. It appears in Legend of the Rainbow Island.
Geography[]
Rainbow Island is a small, crescent-shaped island. The opening in the crescent is a bay of rainbow-colored water, and along the bay's inside coast rests a town and a castle. Behind the castle there is a dense forest, of which smaller sections extend around the island's crescent shape, wrapping the town. Behind the forest, on the island's east side, is a small cave. The west end of the island is covered in sand dunes.
In the past, Rainbow Island was said to be overflowing with high-quality raw materials.
Notably, Rainbow Island cannot be navigated to by Log or Eternal Pose. To reach the island, one must either decode its location from ancient documents passed down through the island's royal family or identify all three Quote Words with one of the Rainbow Eye's emblems. In the latter case, doing so will cause the emblem to glow and point towards Rainbow Island.
Locations[]
Rainbow Island Port[]
Rainbow Island Port (虹の島の港, Niji no Shima no Minato?) is the island's main port, located on the inside of the bay.
Rainbow Castle[]
Rainbow Castle (虹の王宮, Niji no Ōkyū?) is the royal palace of Rainbow Island. It is located at the edge of the island's town.
The interior of the castle is made up of a hallway, with two wings to the east and west. The western wing contains three rooms, one of which was used by Drayke as Atoli's temporary prison. The eastern wing contains two small rooms and a third much larger room, which was by Drayke himself when he stayed on the island. Directly ahead of the castle's doorway, down the hall, sits the throne room, which contains a golden throne and, at its northern end, the sealed door to the Rainbow Eye.
Behind the sealed door lies another hallway, ending in a room full of treasure chests. The Rainbow King's skeleton lies in the room.
Cave[]
On the eastern side of the island is a small cave. In the back of the cave, there is a small tunnel that connects back to the Rainbow Castle, and can be used to sneak in.
Culture[]
Rainbow Island was ruled by a king, who was known as the Rainbow King.
Inhabitants[]
In the distant past, Rainbow Island was inhabitated by the Rainbow King and his subjects, which included Dias' ancestors and Drayke's ancestors.
Sigurd lives in the waters around the ocean.
Wildlife[]
Rainbow Island is home to giant, ferocious moles. They can be commanded using the Rainbow Eye.
History[]
Past[]
At some point in the past, Rainbow Island was apparently more well-known. The residents of the island were known to make goods from high-quality materials, which they would sell to other countries, and the Rainbow King held control of the Rainbow Eye, which he used to peacefully rule the island.
According to legend, the king of Rainbow Island was immortal. However, he was killed during a pirate raid on the island, and the island's survivors fled to Silver Arrow Island. With the island abandoned, it became lost.
