I already knew Interstellar was one of the greatest films I'd ever seen after my first watch, and it has sat comfortably in my top 25 ever since. However, after this watch it may be objectively the best film I've ever had the pleasure of seeing and probably one of the greatest films ever made.
Christopher Nolan proves what a powerhouse director he is and I can now admit that this is his greatest triumph (at least so far, but surely he can't beat it), because Interstellar nails everything, never managing to miss a beat, it is an astonishing achievement. It boasts possibly the most incredible score I've ever heard, brilliantly immersive writing and a phenomenal career defining performance from Matthew McConaughey. Above all else though, it is without a doubt, the most visually impressive film I have ever seen, there is simply nothing like the staggering experience of Interstellar.
Immersive, deeply emotional, thought-provoking and simply a must watch.
