🔙Home Alone 3🔙
🔜Home Sweet Home Alone🔜
Only my second time ever watching this masterpiece of a movie, my first time seeing it in theatre’s more importantly first time seeing it in IMAX. Now I was sat directly in the middle of row two, but I’ve never been so immersed in a movie my whole vision was the IMAX screen and the score transported me to a whole different stratosphere.
There’s a reason this movie has been selling out IMAX theatre’s across the country it’s a once in a lifetime experience and I hope each of you get to see this in its purest form at least once in your life.
Not only is it visually stunning, it’s a masterpiece in storytelling. A psychological movie that requires multiple viewings to take everything in, even on a second watch I noticed and discovered much more. What sets Interstellar apart is it stays realistic and somewhat scientifically accurate. Nolan collaborated with top physicist Kip Thorne to closely ensure that the film's portrayal of space travel was grounded in reality. The result is an authentic and immersive experience unlike many others.
Still on the scientific accuracy of events; things such as wormholes, black holes, and time dilation are presented in a way that is both educational and thrilling. Not only creating these immense phenomena’s but doing so with such accuracy is astounding and credit has to go to the cinematographers and director working overtime.
Hans Zimmer's score adds another layer of depth, he not only heightens the emotional warmth of each moment he transports us viewers to each alien world in astonishing fashion. There was times I felt like I was in the spacecraft with Cooper and Brand, the room was shaking and the feeling was almost euphoric, complete bliss.
I could go on about the story but I don’t want to ruin anything if you haven’t seen it. I will say the movie honestly gets better as it goes, the flow of events seams together effortlessly and whilst it’s a complex story it’s still quite easy to follow.
Sure it’s a movie about the power of love for family, and humanity as a whole but it’s a movie seeded in hope and over the course of the movie we see that hope blossom.
I could probably write a whole essay on this movie but I won’t as I think my key points have been made, I’m not sure how many days left it’s in theatre’s but you have got to try find a showing it’ll be one of your greater movie experiences. It’s hard for me to say it’s better than my Dune 2 experience from the start of the year but it’s so close and definitely takes at least second spot in my 2024 movie experiences.
