Interstellar is one of the most loved films ever made and for good reason. From start to finish Interstellar is nothing but a perfect movie in ever way possible.
Firstly the acting, everyone’s amazing but the obvious standout was Matthew McConaughey. Every scene he was in he was incredible. Ann Hathaway and Jessica Chastain are also brilliant in each of their roles. Although we didn’t see much of him, Matt Damon was great as Mann and Michale Caine was also outstanding.
The characters are another thing that make Interstellar such a fantastic movie. Cooper is a perfect protagonist, you can’t help but love him when he’s on screen, this is also due to McConaughey’s performance. I also really liked Murph and Brand as the other two main characters. TARS was possibly my favourite character in Interstellar. He was funny and every scene he was in was great.
The plot is so interesting and is done perfectly. The story of having to try and find another planet to live on is amazing and everything else that happens keeps you in the edge of your seat the entire runtime. It also has one of the best endings ever, which makes the film the masterpiece that it is.
Hans Zimmer’s score is arguably the best part of Interstellar for me. Anytime a song is used it’s used perfectly. The Cornfield Chase song specifically was truly perfect. It’s so emotional yet at the same time you can feel happy and hopeful. Cornfield Chase is not just a score in a movie, it’s something that I can actually listen to and enjoy. If not for the cinematography, the score would be easily the best part of Interstellar.
Like is said the cinematography is the best part of Interstellar in my opinion. Every single shot looks beautiful, the black hole and pretty much every thing in space was stunning. The wave scene on the water planet was absolutely breathtaking.
I know everyone says it but Interstellar is 100% one of the best movies ever made. This is my 3rd watch now and every time it’s gotten so much better. If you haven’t seen it yet, believe the hype and go watch it right now.
