The power of a rewatch. Amazing filmmaking. Truly absurd and beautiful and fantastic on the big screen. So immense. I cried 4 times. maybe it was 5, I don't remember. Didn't even hit the hour mark and I was sobbing, my glasses steamed up and everything got blurry. Do I fully understand it? No. Do I want to fully understand it? Not really. My understanding of this is definitely far better than what it was my first time, but it mostly makes sense to me, and that's good enough. Matthew McConaughey is an absolute powerhouse in this. Chastain and Hathaway are brilliant too, and I don't even have to rave about the score, you all know how good it is.
