My dad kept falling asleep, but I made sure he was awake for the parts that matter. He also agrees that the whole thing with Dr. Mann was boring and unnecessary, but that doesn’t stop it from being my favorite movie. The parts that are good—especially the story, cinematography, visuals, and score—are just so perfect that it makes ignoring the Dr. Mann plot easy. I wonder if this will ever be dethroned and what movie could possibly do it… honestly, it could be Dune part 2.
