Very well acted, looks great, has one of the more recognizable scores of the last decade, the early scenes on earth + the majority of the time in space are very entertaining, and Tars is awesome.
With all that said I still can’t stand the time dilation that occurs in the story. That plus the stuff with Murph’s bookshelf that still confuses me are the reasons I grade this movie lower than most. Completely understand why it’s so loved though. Just not one of my go to movies of the genre.
