The unnamed club promoter is a minor antagonist in Grand Theft Auto Online, appearing as part of The Contract update.
History[]
Background[]
He is a 24-year old club promoter in Los Santos, and son of an unnamed rich guy who appears to be affiliated with the Los Santos Triads.
Events of Grand Theft Auto Online[]
At some point in 2021, he got hold of a copy of Dr. Dre's unreleased songs through WesLos Records executive producer Johnny Guns.
Imani tracks down his Lifeinvader profile after the GTA Online Protagonist steals security footage from a Triad Nightclub where the phone signal was detected. Later, the player breaks into the S.S. Daddy's Boy, a Galaxy Super Yacht owned by the promoter's father, and fights the Triads on the yacht while looking for evidence located in one of the bedrooms. They find flyers for the Master Penthouse at The Diamond Casino & Resort, where the promoter intends to leak the songs at a party.
Soon after, the protagonist locates the promoter inside the penthouse and attempts to grab the laptop containing Dre's music. The promoter, however, smashes the player in the face with a Pißwasser bottle and escapes with the laptop. The protagonist fights their way out of the penthouse, then chases the promoter into The Music Locker located downstairs in the casino.
During the chase, the promoter offers a free VIP pass to whoever kills the protagonist. However, the protagonist kills all the guards and catches the promoter with the laptop and phone copy in his backpack. The protagonist takes the backpack, and decides whether to kill the promoter or let them go. Franklin Clinton asks Dr. Dre what they should do with the promoter and he requests the player kill him, suggesting this would be the canon choice. The player then returns the backpack to their Agency.
