Michael Joseph Roche (1878-1964) was a federal judge on the United States District Court for the Northern District of California.
He was nominated by President Franklin Delano Roosevelt on August 21, 1935 to replace Frank Henry Kerrigan. He was confirmed by the Senate on August 23rd, and received commission August 24th. From 1948 to 1958, he was the chief judge. On March 1, 1958, he assumed senior status and continued to serve in this capacity until his death on July 1, 1964. Roche was succeeded in this position by Albert Wollenberg.
