Herbert Wilson Erskine (1888-1951) was a federal judge on the United States District Court for the Northern District of California.

Erskine was nominated by President Harry Truman on January 13, 1949, to a seat vacated by Adolphus Frederic St. Sure; he was confirmed by the Senate on February 25, 1949, and received commission on March 1, 1949. He served the Northern District of California until his death on March 18, 1951. Erskine was succeeded in this position by Monroe Friedman.
