FBI Agents Harper and Fisk search for a serial killer on their first assignment. Fisk gets shot and killed right after knocking on the first door. It has to be quite possibly the worst career of an FBI agent in history. We soon learn that Harper is partially psychic. You'd think she'd have known that Fisk was gonna bite it in advance, but no such luck for him. So with her fresh psychic ability in tow, she is recruited to try to track down a creepy looking Nicholas Cage AKA Longlegs.

Speaking of Nicholas Cage, I love it when a director just lets loose and tells Cage to just do whatever he wants with a character. That's the only possible solution as to why some of these creative decisions were made. Cage spends a lot of the film dressed up like a cross between Tiny Tim and the Pillsbury Doughboy. I kind of feel that he's trying to channel the old guy from Poltergeist 2 a bit, and I have to say... he's pretty good at being creepy and off-putting.

This was interesting. A complex serial killer case with a twinge of the supernatural. I kind of assume that this is what the Se7ven sequel with psychic Morgan Freeman would have been like, and what's crazy is that it's not bad. For the first time ever, an idea that sounded so stupid to me originally kind of feel like it maybe could have worked. Although it does get a little weird in some parts. I'm not completely sure, but I think the devil may have called Harker on the telephone. It was still kind of a fun horror film with Cage's insanity really leading the charge.
