Enjoyed the muted colours of a forever winter, the eerily quiet soundscape and the slow-burn psycho-mystery of the first hour...
...and then - frustratingly - it really drops the ball with a nonsensically daft finale - one that instantly burns up all the tension of its set up with silly supernatural hokum. That, and a miscast Cage auditioning for the local village panto...
...stars for mood setting, design and Monroe, who is channeling her inner Agent Starling, which is where the Lambs similarities begin and end.
