This is what I needed, finally, after so many stumbles with horror movies from 2024. Longless somehow manages to make a crime movie and of course with slasher overtones, much better achieved than Maxxxine.
I'm a fan of series or movies related to the FBI that investigate cults or in some way things that lead them to extremely disturbing situations, basically like Twin Peaks or True Detective.
I felt that the more I explored this movie, my heart rate quickened and I felt a certain disgust for the killer played in such a twisted and fascinating way by Nicolas Cage that I will always defend that actor as one of the best that ever existed.
Since somehow the film has been proclaimed as a puzzle in which our protagonist has to solve Why birthdays and why somehow all the murders are involved in the killer Longless. Leading her character to investigate and solve the why of these rice crimes and their respective solution which leads to a very macabre and too disturbing plot twist, I definitely declared myself a fan of this film and I look forward to seeing it again when it comes to my city to see it again on the big screen.
