The nickeling of Neon/Black Bear dropping a 2024 religious horror joint, alongside Shipka starring in a Perkins joint thus far.
I do NOT care how people are going to feel about it, from the admittedly amazing marketing. Longlegs is by far Perkins' best accomplishment as a filmmaker. Yes, it plays out like any procedural thriller, but when Perkins sprinkles in his trademarks of unnerving tension, slow-burn pacing, a synth-laden score and superb cinematography/direction, Longlegs stands out from the rest.
Monroe, Witt, Shipka and Underwood's excellent, but it's Cage who steals the show. Arguably his best work for the 2020's next to Pig!
