The Cargo Ship Robbery is a Salvage Yard Robbery featured in Grand Theft Auto Online as part of The Chop Shop update.

Description[]

The player, wearing a Coast Guard outfit, is instructed to pick up the vehicle they have previously stolen (either a Dinghy or Seasharks) and use it to reach the La'oub Princess on the Pacific coast.

They must climb aboard the ship using the anchor chain. The Coast Guard outfit will allow the player to approach the ship without alerting the smugglers patrolling the area. Once the player is aboard the ship, they must sneak all the way to the bridge, find the captain and eliminate him in order to obtain the terminal codes needed to identify which container has the target vehicle.

Once the player reaches the bridge, the ship's security will be alerted and will send the air support after the player. After using the codes on the terminal, three containers will be marked on the player's radar, one of which contains the target vehicle. The player must cut open the containers one by one using the bolt cutters.

After locating the target vehicle, the player is instructed to attach a flare on the container for Jamal's pilot to pick it up using the Skylift. Once the Skylift picks up the container, the player is instructed to escort the pilot to the drop-off point, protecting the Skylift from the ship's air support.

The pilot will drop the container at a random multi-storey car park (Downtown Los Santos/Rockford Hills). After the drop-off, the player will be able to open the container, steal the target vehicle and deliver it to the Salvage Yard.

Rewards[]

If the player picks up the Captain's hat inside the ship's bridge, they will also unlock the Captain Peaked Cap clothing item upon completion. This is an alternative way to unlock the item if the player has not completed A Superyacht Life.
