Program Component, the Department of Education (DepEd) through the Bureau of

Learner Support Services – School Health Division (BLSS-SHD) is mandated to
implement a nationwide School-Based Feeding Program (SBFP) pursuant to Republic
Act No. 11037 or otherwise known as “Masustansyang Pagkain Para sa Batang
Pilipino Act” and the General Appropriations Act (GAA) for the FY 2019. RA 11037
provides the inclusion of fresh milk or fresh milk-based products in the SBFP as

additional component to hot meals.
In addition, the DepEd through BLSS-SHD issued DepEd Order No. 22, s.
2020 “Additional Provisions and Amendments to DepEd Order (DO) No. 36, s.
2019” to ensure the growth and development and also to boost the immune system
of learners during the pandemic.
In line with this, the Division of General Trias City will conduct a Division
Online Orientation on the Implementation of School Based Feeding Program (SBFP) -
Milk Feeding Component 2020 cum Milk Handling.
OBJECTIVES:
At the end of the orientation, participants will be able to:
- Orient schools on new milk feeding guidelines of School-Based Feeding
Program
- Orient schools on proper and safe milk handling procedures
- Implement SBFP- Milk Feeding Component in schools safely and effectively in
the new normal
TRAINING METHODOLOGY:
The method to be used during the training includes lecture and open forum via
online platform.
EXPECTED OUTPUT OF THE TRAINING:
Participants who are aware of the milk feeding component of School-Based Feeding
Program
Effective and efficient implementation of milk feeding of SBFP in schools in the new
normal.
