I. RATIONALE:
In consonance with DM No. 260, S. 2020 entitled Division Year-Round Wellness
Program Implementation at the Schools Division Office (SDO) and in all public
schools teaching and non-teaching personnel. Physical activity such as biking and
exercise can be effective treatment strategies for symptoms of both depression and
anxiety that a lot of people are experiencing amidst of COVID 19. Engaging in
physical activity and exercise can bring short and long term benefits for mood,
sleep, and physical health. It could be possible thru consistent and sustained
motivation by peer support, family support, or electronic platforms offering exercise
programs.

II. OBJECTIVES: 1. To strengthen the cardio-vascular system and muscular system.


2. Boost the immune system that may help the body to fight off
infection, including COVID 19.
3. To improve mood, boost confidence and self-image, and relieve
stress and anxiety.
4. To prevent weight gain caused by dietary changes and offset the
effects of sedentary activities.
5. To develop camaraderie and sense of belongingness

Enclosure D. Guidelines in the Conduct of Biking Activity


1. Participants should fill-up the registration form and pay for the registration
fee amounting to 350 pesos (inclusion: biking kit)

2. Participants should submit a medical certificate taken from the nearest


public health center/public hospital to participate in the activity.

3. Participants with the following health condition are not allowed to


participate in the activity.
3.1. Fever and recent asthma flare up
3.2. Chest pain, shortness of breath, or dizziness.
3.3. Heart disease.
3.4. High blood pressure.
3.5. Type 1 or type 2 diabetes.
3.6. Kidney disease.
3.7. Arthritis.
3.8. Being treated for cancer, or recently completed cancer
treatment.

4. Participants should submit a waiver upon registration before participating in


the activity.
5. Participants should bring their own bicycle and biking gears.
6. Participants should wear an appropriate biking attire (shirts, shorts,
leggings, and rubber shoes)

7. Failure to adhere on the given guidelines, will not be allowed to join the
activity.

COVID-19 Health and Safety Protocols


1. Observe social distancing (1meter-distance of bicycle from each participant)
*Only two bikers are allowed on the lane.
2. Always wear mask at all time.
3. Bring your own alcohol and bottled water.

day or if done only on half day.

4. The Information and communication


 Provides information campaign for all the participants.
 Keeps the records and disseminate information of the participants
 Checks and updates the sites and other means of communication

5. The Documentation Team


 Records the proceedings of the activity
 Compiles all the documents relative to the activity
 Organizes the documents and submits the same to the executive
team.
 Captures important proceedings in pictures and in videos.
6. Program and Invitation
 Design and drafts program for the activity
7. Medical and Rescue Team
 Provides essential service on health concerns during the activity.
 Supports the medical team and provides immediate response to
any emergency cases during the activity.
8. Safety and Security
 Secures the safety and security of all the participants
 Clears the way/road as the cycling goes on.
