· Snehapana –Internal lubrication with Medicated Ghee / Medicated Oil
Drink 30ml on 5thday with warm water on an empty stomach by 7am (once daily)
Drink 60ml on 6thday with warm water on an empty stomach by 7am (once daily)
Drink 90ml on 7thday with warm water on an empty stomach by 7am (once daily)
Drink 120ml on 8thday with warm water on an empty stomach by 7am (once daily)

FAQ's:
Q - Can I continue my BP / Thyroid / Diabetes, PCOD or any medications during the treatment?
A – Yes. Continue the medications prescribed by your doctor during the treatment as well
Q - Can I continue my GYM/ exercise during the programme?
A - Light exercise or brisk walk or Yoga is advised
Q - Having tea / coffee during the course of treatment is allowed?
A - Green tea or black tea is allowed
Q - Can I postpone any day of the treatment if I have any emergency?
A – Finishing the programme without any break has optimal benefits. In case of emergency please talk
to your doctor
Q - Can I have salads, cut fruits and milk products during the intake of medicated ghee / oil?
A - No fruits / curds / milk from snehapana day and until you finish your programme. It's recommended
to have only cooked food / cooked veggies for easy digestion
Q - If in case I puke medicated ghee / oil what next?
A - Pls speak to your doctor if you vomit. To avoid nausea, eating peppermint or drinking Lemon tea after
the intake of ghee/oil and short walk is advised.
Q - I don't feel hungry at all after taking medicated ghee / oil, is it normal?
A – Yes it’s normal. Don’t eat until you're hungry. Depending on the individual agni ( digestive fire )
appetite varies.
Note: Diabetic patients can consume light food every 3-4hrs once or as advised by your doctor.
Q - Is it common to have a headache during the treatment?
A - Slight headache is common during the first 8 days of the treatment which doesn't require any
medication. Green tea or a short walk will make you feel better. If it persists please speak to your doctor.
Q - Do I get loose motions during the medicated ghee / oil intake?
A - Yes you may get loose stools which are common, in case it's more than 3 times please speak to your
doctor.
Q - What is the minimum and maximum number of times one can have purgations on the last day?
A - Based on your digestive system, the number of vegas and virechana medicines will be decided by
your doctor. Minimum is 6 and Maximum is 15 times.
Note: Eat solid food such as Rice + Rasam / buttermilk to arrest/stop loose motion in case it exceeds
more than 15 times.
Q - What to do if I vomit the purgation/virechana medicine?
A - If in case you vomit the medicine, you are provided with extra purging tablets which have to be
consumed only after speaking to your doctor.
Q - What can I do if I have pain in the stomach on the last day of the treatment?
A - In case you experience severe abdominal pain, pls drink jeera water (warm). If it persists please
speak to your doctor.
Q - What would my diet be on the last day after purgations?
A - Virechana medicines / purging medicines will be given on an empty stomach in the morning. Don't
eat anything until the purging stops. Post virechana , in case of weakness, pls have light and
cooked food. Follow the diet recommended in the chart or speak to the doctor in case of doubts.
Note: Diabetic Patients can consume light food every 3-4hrs once or as advised by your doctor.
Q - What would be my diet post Virechana ?
A - Post Virechana is known as Paschat Karma. Pls follow the diet mentioned in the chart for next 2-3
days after virechana.
Q - When do I visit the doctor post treatment?
A - Pls visit your doctor the next day or within 2 days post treatment.
