Has some really fun moments! I love Jason Bateman man
]]>It is truly one of the greatest films ever made
]]>Watched on Wednesday December 25, 2024.
]]>funny literally every time
]]>Good lord. Didn't expect the sloth to be a bucket hat baddie
]]>Took me SO many years to watch this for some reason but how heartwarming! Don't understand the terrible reviews. Really sweet movie
]]>Is it weird that I kinda dug this lol. Some truly creepy scenes and fun creature effects! And points for a unique story
]]>Forgot to log this last week. Drug everyone to see it at our local small neighborhood theater, and after some reservations during the opening 15 minutes, everyone got on board quick. I love this movie. It's still one of my favorite movies of the last 5 years. It's so punk but so earnest and so heartwarming. Emily Skeggs and Kyle Gallner have remarkable chemistry and it's all just so charming!!! It's like a warm hug, man!!!
]]>cute!
]]>Jim Cummings really is so fucking good and at his best when he's unhinged
]]>what the FUCK is this at this point
]]>literally foul. i think i would've survived tho
]]>what the hell, sure
]]>Cute but weirdly not as good as Hot Frosty? Got some real bad wig action in here too. Chad Michael Murray hot as ever tho
]]>The "how does soup sound" bit had us literally crying laughing. This was fun!!
]]>Hell yeah brother
]]>I WAS captivated, I'll give you that much. But I think more in a "rubbernecking a trainwreck" way than a "moved and blown away" way.
Just trying to figure out what this is saying? Who is it for? Very confused by it all.
]]>Look, yes this was clearly made by idealist Clint. There are some obvious, corny insinuations and moments. But this movie rocks. I want more of these mid-budget courtroom dramas with good actors. I loved this. And I LOVED the ending.
]]>This is real cinema
]]>This RIPS. Really gnarly effects and some good creepy moments
]]>a classic. forgot nicola peltz is in this
]]>Dumbest shit of all time, my boss put this on in the office. Loved it
]]>Entertaining enough, but commits the cardinal sin of just making me want to go back and rewatch the original. Mescal held his own more than I thought he would, but he's no Russell Crowe.
]]>I saw this back in October at the New Orleans Film Festival and I have been thinking about it at least twice a week since. Eisenberg is a STRONG screenwriter and director; it's clear he's been paid attention throughout his acting career. SO moving. I see myself in both Benji and David, but I CANNOT stop thinking about David's confession at dinner one night that he feels that his pain is unremarkable. I battle this feeling almost every day. Why should the world care about MY pain? It's a blip in the universe. There's REAL pain out there. Why should mine matter
]]>this got me GOOD!! cried in the club for sure. what a wonderful and fresh coming of age story!
]]>Sean Baker finally sticks a landing for me. Wasn't expecting this to be as funny as it was, and wasn't expecting the middle of the movie to turn into an absurdist comedy, but really really enjoyed it. I can understand to an extent the criticism of Anora lacking depth, but it's clearly meant to be a snapshot of a whirlwind week in her life and how it affects and changes her. Mikey Madison is a force.
]]>I took my grandma to see this because she used to love going to the movies but hasn't gone much since my grandfather died. I'd been wanting to take her for so long but there hadn't been much being released that felt like a good option to take her to. This was the perfect "bring your grandparents" movie. Really beautifully shot, surprisingly funny, and weirdly moving at times (or maybe it's just my latent avid catholicism pushing through).
"Certainty is the deadly enemy of tolerance. Even Christ was not certain at the end" is powerful stuff!
]]>so cute!!
]]>Okay I had never seen this because I knew the "twist ending" and wasn't sure if there was any point to watching it since I did. The journey was as good as the destination, though! Loved the gore and kills, and that it pulled no punches. A quick, fun time!
]]>God I love this movie and I love watching it on the big screen and noticing things I never have before.
]]>Just so much fun. Wouldn't work as well as it does if the characters were any less charming
]]>I forgot how incredible this movie is. Maybe one of the most romantic movies of all time? Incredibly rich and beautiful costumes and sets, so much of it just took my breath away on rewatch. Can't believe I was mixed on this my first watch. Keanu is miscast and almost unwatchable, but it's not his fault.
make dracula sexy again!!!!!!
]]>we didn't know what we had back in 2010!!!!!
]]>"we share this little ghost, my friend. this perpetual heartbreak which she haunts us with. our work must be the grave that we prepare for its lovely tenant"
watched the authentic cut. a deeply personal film, both offputting, unsettling, hilarious and beautiful all at once. i can't imagine carrying the pain of losing a child for decades
]]>just realized mary lambert directed this....what a legend
]]>Watched on Saturday October 26, 2024.
]]>this is karma for what riley biers did to bella swan
]]>what a mean, vile movie. I loved it
]]>SO so fun. Reminds me a lot of Bodies Bodies Bodies but more fun and unique. What a blast, I was entertained the entire way through
]]>Not nearly as good as the first. Has some good moments but is missing that foil to Sands' Warlock that he had in Grant in the first movie. He carries the damn thing on his back.
]]>What a fucking banger, so so much fun. Julian Sands (RIP) and Richard E. Grant are so hot and so good in this, and I loved the dynamic between Richard E. Grant and Lori Singer
]]>what the hell
]]>what the fuck is this lmao
]]>Still slaps! Even if some of it is ridiculous. It looks beautiful. But I'm also not convinced that Johnny Depp can actually do anything other than Jack Sparrow?
]]>This review may contain spoilers.
Watched for my boy Kyle but this was intense!! Bodies in the walls??? Ew!!
]]>UGH I wanted to like this more but I also think I liked it more than most people. You can tell SO much was cut and it ultimately loses the unnerving, unsettling atmosphere of the original/book. Cutting the entire Marsten house plotline/reason for Ben Mears even being back in the first place is CRIMINAL!!!
But I will love Lewis Pullman until the day I die
(also I know the people that did the production design and hair and makeup for this and they did a great job : - )
]]>Stunningly bad. But I had so much fun. What an overstuffed, absurd film. I was along for the ride though.
]]>I only gagged once!
I don't understand why people want more from this movie. It's a surface level satire about aging in an age where people are getting buccal fat removal at age 18. It's a fun, gross, gory, hysterically funny satire with excellent performances, and that's all it has to be!
]]>the main character is sooooooo annoying but this has mark ruffalo in a trench coat being dark-haired and mysterious so that's an extra half star from me. also, a stacked supporting cast
]]>banger, but wish there was more demon!
]]>I don't wanna hear any debate on this.
*This list takes into account the quality of the film itself and the entertainment value. Some of these films were terribly made but very entertaining and will rank higher than those that are well made but boring as fuck or I couldn't finish.
