Jimmy Carter, President from 1977-1981

Jimmy Carter was president of the United States from 1977 to 1981. During his time in office he had 262 judges successfully nominated and confirmed to the federal bench. Carter had six nominees withdrawn and 20 receive no vote from the Senate.[1][2]

Also, during Carter's Presidency came the creation of the Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals which created a new circuit for Georgia, Alabama, and Florida by breaking up the Fifth Circuit.[3]
