Talos is a character from the Disney animated series Gargoyles. He is a robot that lives on the island of New Olympus.
Background[]
Talos resembles more of an animate suit of armor - specifically in the style of a hoplite from ancient Greece. Located on the hollow inside of Talos' helmet are two red eyes that glow inside his head. Because Talos is a robot, he appears to be almost as sentient and treated with respect from fellow New Olympians.
Role in the series[]
In "The New Olympians", Talos approaches Boreas which the former replies to him that New Olympus might need human allies, believing that Elisa might be eligible to protect New Olympus, explaining to Boreas that the cloaking device will not be effective much longer. After Elisa is dismissed, Talos then leaves the Senate House after the Manhattan Clan discusses with Boreas.
Later, Talos approaches Proteus (disguised as Taurus) in the Columnadium where the latter replies to him to know if he saw Elisa which Talos replies to him "Not to my knowledge". Just as Proteus takes on the system, Talos warns him that if he continues to overload the system, it could cause a massive explosion that can destroy the entire island, explaining to him that he cannot speculate to his motives, telling him to stop now while Talos plans to fix the system. However, it turns out that Taurus is actually Proteus in disguise as he transforms into his cyclops form where he breaks through Talos' body. Proteus then disables him and tosses him out of Columnadium, severely damaging him. It is unknown of what happened to Talos after that, even after Proteus was arrested back into his cell once again.
