Franklin Wendell "Frank" Welker is a veteran American voice actor, impressionist, and former stand-up comedian, who has done over 800 different character voice roles in animated films, television shows, video games, and commercials.
He is also most notable for providing different animal, monster, and creature sounds. He is responsible for a broad spectrum of character voices and other vocal effects that appeared over the last 50 years in American television and motion pictures, such as Megatron and Soundwave in various incarnations of the Transformers franchise, Dr. Claw in the 1983 animated series of Inspector Gadget, Dynomutt (Blue Falcon's robotic dog sidekick), Fred Jones in the Scooby-Doo franchise since 1969, as well as being the current voice of Scooby-Doo since 2002.
He has also done numerous voice roles in many Disney films, television shows, and video games, including Aladdin, The Little Mermaid, Pocahontas, Brother Bear, Epic Mickey, and more.

- Welker is listed as the number one "All Time Top 100 Stars at the Box Office", not as a box office draw, but in terms of the total revenue generated by the films he has participated in.
- His role as Henry in The Computer Wore Tennis Shoes is one of his few live-action roles.
- He is good friends with fellow voice actor Peter Cullen, both of whom starred in the 1984 Transformers TV series.
