The Scrolls of Merlin are a collection of scrolls written by the wizard Merlin. They are a record of Merlin's life-story. One such event includes his training of the future king, Arthur Pendragon.

History

In 1995, archaeologists Arthur Morwood-Smyth and Lydia Duane discovered the Scrolls hidden away in a cavern in Wales. On her way to deliver the scrolls to the Metropolitan Museum of Art in Manhattan, Duane found herself ambushed by Macbeth's mercenaries, Banquo and Fleance. The two made off with the scrolls, with the Manhattan Clan in pursuit. Hudson managed to claim one of the scrolls, but Banquo managed to knock him out into the ocean. Broadway tried to secure the other scroll at Macbeth's hideout, but was discovered and taken hostage by Macbeth. Macbeth and his mercenaries tracked the other scroll to the house of the blind author Jeffrey Robbins, whereupon he proceeded to snatch it from Hudson's stone form. Macbeth tried to read the scrolls, but upon finding that the scrolls contained Merlin's diary instead of spells, he lost interest, allowing the gargoyles to leave with them.
