Cooperation
Globally well connected
Strategic partnerships and global networking are vital to the future viability of TIB. The library works with academic libraries and research institutions around the world to create new services and develop existing ones. The aim is to provide the best possible support for scholars and scientists in research, teaching and industry.
Through active participation in networks and committees, TIB puts its own issues on the science policy agenda and actively shapes future developments. Its core competencies include responsible data science, research data management, non-textual materials, information provision and digital preservation.
TIB collaborates with more than 50 international partners on a project-by-project basis. It also supports international researchers and librarians by providing grants and covering travel expenses and conference fees.
